Has anyone seen this or know what causes it?
90% of our users are on NT4 SP6 Workstatins and have Acrobat Reader
version 4. They all use Lotus Notes 6.0.1. When they receive an Acrobat
PDF attachment, in an e-mail or in any database document, when they use
the View or the Open options, the attachment launches in Acrobat, but
then the window immediately loses focus behind the Notes Client Window.
The user then has to use Alt-Tab to view it. This is not a minor
inconvenience as our Content management system relies heavily on PDF
files distributed via Notes (don’t ask). This problem started immediately following
the Notes 5 to 6 Client upgrade.
It is not affecting my personal workstation, but I have the full version
of Acrobat 4 (not the freeware reader) and am running Windows 2000. I
am not sure if these are factors.
I saw a somewhat related technote, but it wasn’'t very helpful as users are manually launching attachments with a double click and they generally have only reader access to documents.
