I’m just doing a review of security setting for a site with many users many databases.
Of course what I want to know is for all user and for all database
what level of access do they have?
and how do they get it? i.e. through which groups
I know I can do this for one user and one database at a time using the the “Effective Access”
Are there any cost effective tools to automate this?
Preferably into a database with a many - to many joins of tables
of
person
db
Group
Not asking for much am I :={

In your server’s Notes.ini, you probably have this line:
ServerTasksAt1=Catalog,Design
The Catalog task updates the database catalog (catalog.nsf). Just open this file on your server and have fun… The “ACL > By Name” lists groups as well.

Subject: Good Starting point I realise BUT
only goes so far e.g. in this case only to the ACL entrydoes recurse through the groups down to a person
what my customer wants is actually lists like
Alan White - Application A - Editor , [R1] , [R2} because in Group1
Application Z Reader , because in Group 27
Brian Blessed - Application B - Authors , [Supervisor] becaus ein Group Supervisor
actuall 3 list by Person, Application and Group
So far the only way I know involves an awful lot of manual work
