We have several databases using the “consistent ACL” setting. In some of them the ACL log looks strange since some time. Instead of the entries we had in earlier days, indicating each user’s changes, there is just ONE entry. The “action” says that the ACL was copied from another server - the date is updated each day, as replication between servers takes place daily.
Any ideas why this is logged instead of just the changes made? How to avoid / turn this off?

are you looking at the ACL log on the Admin Server ?
If Enforce Consistent ACL is selected, the ACL should only be updated on the Admin server - therefore open the ACL up on that server and look at the log there.
Hopefully that will show the info you expect.

Hi John, thanks for the hint. But we are not using the “Administration server” setting at all. So this can not be the source of any trouble in our case.
