Hi,
I selected multiple databases in Domino administrator client and tried to remove couple of servers from ACL using Manage ACL.
For almost everything, entry was not existing in the databases ACL. But the problem is there are no messages in the log.nsf relating to it. There is no issues in individual ACL log. The problem is only with the log.nsf. Any idea why it’s not displaying in log.nsf?

what do you expect to display there?

It should show the same thing which gets displayed in the status bar…like database name, and the corresponding error message like this name does not exist in the specified database and if access issue…you are not authorised to access the database…

not everything that shows in the status bar gets written to the log.nsf but I wish it did.

But I think it should display atlease something if not all the info of status bar, right? not even that is not displayed.

I got the solution…instead of the details logging into the server’s log.nsf, it’s logged into my local log.nsf…through I don’t understand how or why it has been done so. The default it to log into the server log.nsf instead of my local log.nsf. May be I can check onto this…

yes, of course, that’s the way it works. you are working from your client so it logs to your client log.nsf. Only processes running on the server would post to the server’s log.nsf
