Is there a way to find out using COM all the groups a given user is a member of?

I’m not aware of any ‘direct’ method that shows the groups that a user is a member of. There are two workarounds that I can think of though:-

  1. Create a view in your Domino Directory that lists Groups by Member. Your COM code could then use that view.

  2. Create a document collection via COM. Your selection formula would have to be something like…

|@Uppercase(Form) = “GROUP” & @IsMember(“| + userName + |”; Members)|

(where ‘userName’ is the variable holding the user that you are dealing with.
