ACL changes are not active immediately

Hi,

I have a Lotus Notes database locally on my machine ( not a notes server). On the Advanced tabof the ACL I have enabled “Enforce a consistent ACL accross all replicas”. i use different user id´s for testing purposes. Whenever I make changes in the ACL ( different roles etc.) and switch to the id the ACL changes are not active immediately. It takes very long before the changes are active for the user id. What is causing this? can i do something to make it faster?

Is the concerned db open in the Designer? If so, close the designer. I found that this help very often.

Closing the Notes client and reopening may help aswell usually. Notes is very good in caching data…
