Hi,What is best way to access large amount of DB2/400 data from a Domino web based application? Currently we use LEI to replicate the huge DB2 tables into Notes databases. But this method has performance issues. Also this solution doesn’t provide real time access to backend DB2 data.
What’s your opinion on using Virtual Fields and real time actívties in LEI? A problem I find here is that in case of Virtual Fields, the data will be updated only if a user opens a Notes Form. So this is not suited when what I need is just a view of DB2 records for the purpose of lookups from Notes application agents.
Also, what’s your feedback on Domino 7 with documents stored in DB2 format? Is this still a limited beta version or is it avialble?
