Accessing Bookmark "Workspace" programmatically

I have noticed that with version 6.x, you can create a “simulated workspace” by double clicking the database bookmark and that you can also set the database bookmark as your default homepage.

In our organization, I have created and “portal” database that is used as our Welcome Page. Because users are familiar with the workspace, I have to add a button on the welcome page so they can find their databases. I have tried encouraging them to use the bookmarks, but lets face it…it is much easier to find them via the workspace!

We are looking at setting up users with “Roaming capabilities” (we are currently doing this by putting the \notes\data directories on the users network drive, but due to speed issues, we are considering installing Notes 100% on the local pc.) Because users roam now, they will be sharing the desktop file on the local machine, thereby seeing all other user’s databases.

My question is…can the workspace created by double clicking the database bookmark be accessed programmatically via a button? Has anyone tried this? I have looked at the Bookmark database and cannot find anything.

Any suggestions/help is appreciated.
