Access to other Database using @dblookup

Hi,

I am trying to use @dblookup (for web pages) in Source Database which gets data from the Target Database. In the target database, in the ACl, anonymous has no access. So we are not able to fetch the data using @dblookup in Source DB.

When the ACL of the target db is changed to reader access for anonymous then @dblookup works properly.

Can anyone suggest some ideas to fetch the data from target Db (where anonymous has no access).

Regards,

Priti.

I assume this code is in an agent. Can you set the agent to run as a user who has access to the target database?

This is not in an agent. I am using the code in a sharedfield which is used in a form.

The error is coming because the second database needs authenticated users to access the database and from web if the users are not logged in then it could be a problem and you need Anonymous ACL in the database.

If you want Anonymous entry to set to “No Access” but still want to make this work then you need to do the following -

  1. Force the user to logon using &login argument in url.

  2. Write an alternative lotus script which will perform the same thing.
