Access formula for "action"

I have an action “Change Role” on a page.I want to hide this action from all persons whose names are not in column 3 in a view “view1”.What should i write in “Hide when formula”?I tried it using “dbcolumn” but it does not work.

DBcolumn will work …maybe in your case it is not working , because the view where dbcolumn is done has been categorized …make a view which is not categorized…

see code for hide formula below…

list1:=@Unique(@DbColumn(…));

@If(@IsMember(@Name([CN];@UserName);list1);0;1)

did you try @contains together with @dbcolumn? your fomula should be something like this:

!@Contains(@DbColumn(“” : “NoCache” ; @DbName ; “view1” ; 3) ; @UserName)

where ! converses the result. you have to make sure the comparing values are in the same format. For example if you are storing common names in the column3, you should use @name([cn];@username) instead of @userName.

Hope this helps
