After a code upgrade to 6.0.2CF2 from r5 and simultaneous migration to new hardware(resulting in a new ip address), 2 users are recieving access errors when trying to replicate or create new local replica’s. They have no problems accessing the server replica of the database. But when they try to replicate thier local replica’s, get “Unauthirized to perform this operation” error. Were also unsuccessful at trying to create a new local replica, recieving same “unauthorized” error. ACL has not changed, and deskside support has determined it’s not a problem with the user’s client. Also, when user clicks on the local replica icon “database is not fully initialized yet (it does not contain any views.)” message appears.Any insights or ideas on how to get this issue resolved would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Subject: Access Errors after upgrade to r6 and migration
After seeing several other instances of this problem, it has been determined that there is an incompatibility between the 5.011 notes client code and the r6 server code. The workaround is to upgrade the notes client to r6. This problem has been reported to Lotus, and a fix will be introduced in a later version of code. Please note, after the client upgrade to R6, the initial attempt to replicate the local replica will give the access error. However, subsequent attempts will work.

Subject: New ACL setting
There is a new ACL setting in N6, “Replicate of copy documents”. Perhaps that is turned on?
