Access Delegation Problem for the Users Who Has Editor Access To Their Mailboxes

In order to strict our users (even delete their mailboxes, replace their designs, compacting etc.) we defined editor access to their mailboxes. However, when a user with this ACL level try to delegate someone to their mailbox, calender, etc. via Tools - Preferences - Access & Delegation, after pressing OK no change in the ACL, no error message. Actually, I don’t want to give higher access to them. Is there any way for that the users with editor access to their mailboxes, delegate their mailboxes, calenders, etc.

It works perfectly when users are editor of their mailboxes. If users have editor access, any changes in the ACL are done by the adminp task. When a user gives access to it’s mailbox, you will find an entry in the “Administration Request” db (admin4.nsf). If there’s an error that’s where you’ll find it.

If you use quotas and the user has reached it’s quota, the adminp task can’t write in the db => change the ACL and it is probably why it fails. (It’s the same with the Out of Office, if the user has reached it’s quota, he can’t enable it because the adminp task can’t write in the db).

Thanks Teoman. I checked our ACL of admin4.nsf for the requests related to mailbox delegation. However, the documents for the requests created, but they were not processed.
