Hi All,
i had given an access control to a id file as editor in person
but the problem is he is able to open the application but when tries to compose a form a notes error says that he is not authorised to perform that action. why? ne possible solution
Subject: Access control Problem
Have you checked the form for other authorization issues such as lookups and so forth? Authors/Editors fields?
Also remember that in the ACL person entries takes precedence over group-entries. Roles?

Hi…
Please open the form properties and go to the security props which is the last icon with key symbol. In that check the prop… All readers and Above (For who can read) and All authors and above (For who can compose)…
If this is done then open the Database ACl and check the Create documents and write public docs under editor if not doneso…
Then … Go to the Advanced tab of ACL list and check …
Enforce Consistent ACL across all replicas…
This should see you through

Hi,
rohit i tried with ur suggestion thx., but entries are properly set in readers and authors in last tabs also in adv. tab
i had started the debugger and logged in with that id now when my agent which runs to give unique number to the business form it is smooth but as soon as last line is reached
Call doc1.Save(True, False) <–this is the line where debugger stopped
it throws the error
notes error: you are not authorised to perform that operation
after ok click it is fine to carry out routine activity .
i had tried with differnt id’s also but of no avial.,
that person in the group has editor with all checked options
ne suggestion . thx in adv.
Subject: Debug, Debug, Debug
Log in with the ID file you want to test
Switch on the debugger.
Open the database,
Create the form.
The debugger will stop on the line that causes the error prompt.
post that line back to this forum and we will tell you what is wrong.
If the debugger does not stop on any line, post back too.
