I get this message in all databases in the client and in the designer when I try to copy a document or design element. I have scoured the web and can’t find why this is happening. Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?

I don’t think that is the problem. I have been using my client, designer, and admin client for months with no problems; I am not installing. I get the message if I try to copy, cut, or delete. I *don’t" get the message if I use the delete key, which is really weird.
There are two things that happened during the time that this occured. I made changes to my Notes.ini file, and I had to change my password, as we must change passwords every 3 months or so. I suppose I could blow my notes ini away and try that.

Please check if the “Replicate or copy document” privilege is checked for the id in which your trying to copy the documents. This might help, am not sure though!
