Accepting mail from exchange domain

We recently purchased a small company running Exchange. Is there a way in Notes to accept mail from the Exchange domain name?

What do you want to achieve? Have Domino handle the inbound mail for both the Domino and the exchange mailboxes and forward the latter to exchange?

I need them to receive email from their old domain into their new notes mail files.

why not just have the MX record for the old domain point to Notes. Then you’ll need to add the old domain name to the list of domain aliases in the Global Domain doc. If the short name is the same and you’re routing via Local Part only then you shouldn’t have to do anything else. But if the short name is diffferent or you are using the full internet address to route mail (resolve the user) then you’ll need to add the old interent address to the person docs as well.

Thanks Paul,

I have added old domain to aliases in Global Domain document. Sent test message from my outside email account for testing and I am receiving this error message.

smtp;553 sorry, that domain isn’t in my list of allowed rcpthosts

Did I miss something in DNS?

Keith,

If you are looking for a way to keep both platforms around for a while, there are some things you need to keep in consideration. Try taking a look at http://www.binarytree.com/website/msg/home.nsf/vContentW/CMT+For+Exchange--Coexistence+for+Notes+and+Exchange!Opendocument to see if this helps you out.

Thanks.
