I have a strange experience. Invites from external Notes source are showing up as Calendar Entry, and I can click on Accept. But it never gets accepted, and never goes into my calendar - just stays in the view unchanged. Any idea why this may happen.

I just had a few users ask me about something similar. They were all invited to a meeting by an Outlook 2007/Exchange user, they accepted (I SAW the accept notices leave our external email server…), the notice was deleted from their InBox view-but stayed in All Documents. In All Documents, it did NOT show as accepted…and it was not on their calendar.

From my Notes client, I sent about 100 invites, to a mixture of Notes and Outlook people. ALL the Outlookers got the invite OK, could accept, and it’s in their calendar. Notes users inside my domain worked fine. SOME of the external Notes users did get to accept it, and it worked OK (as far as I can tell, only if they are running R8.5). Many others (R7, R802, R85 beta) say it failed.

I have done a lot of iCalendar testing betwen both Notes and Outlook/Exchange and I am not familiar with this issue. I would love to investigate what is happening…
Could you create a blank and unencrypted NSF file and copy in the calendar entries related to the meeting? I am looking for the meeting documents that you cannot correctly accept, to see why it is happening. Please go to the grouped entries view and select all documents related to the meeting.
