Accented characters

I am sending mails through a scheduled agent and it appears that anyone with a web mail (like yahoo.fr, hotmail.com, etc…) is getting strange characters in place of accented characters. All is fine for other users (using Notes Client for example).

I have enable International MIME Settings and set the Primary character set group to Western.

I have read previous topics on similar matter in the forum (especially 5.x) but no one seems to have an answer in Domino 6.x

Did anyone get this issue and found a solution?

Hi, I have the same issue with latvian characters, In primary Charset group I put Latvian, and now all charecters are fine.

At the recipient side try to look for the encoding, it is European, which does not contain accented charecters.!

Pour France, Vous dois utilise “French” .

Thanks for your answer.The only option that i have is Western which is the character set group that should be used for French…

Am i wrong?
