I’ve tried to upgrade a client to 8.0.1 but I keep getting this error every time I try to start the new client. I’ve reinstalled the client from scratch also, but the error is still there. I’ve successfully upgraded the users other PC, no problem, but on this laptop I cannot make it work. The user is local administrator. If I log on as another user, even one with only local user rights, the client will start and I can configure it. Any ideas of what to try would be appreciated.

First of all i would recommend you upgrade to 8.0.2. 8.0.1 has several performance issues. Besides that try deleting cache.ndk in the data folder and clean out the notes.ini file.

Thanks for your quick reply. Since we’re a part of a big organization, upgrading to 8.0.2 is not an option.I’ve started Notes with an empty notes.ini file and the only thing that happens is that the splash screen appears and then disappear. At least no error…
I cannot find any file cache.ndk, the only cache file I find is cache.ntf
