I have a single user in my domain that when receiving some internet email (from different sources) the font size is HUGE, as in 254 point. It is only this user, and it is on any computer we log her into and open up lotus notes. We’ve had a remote person send us the same message as one in her inbox that is messing up and it looks fine on any other 8.5.1 clients, or anyone we forward it to. But on her 8.5.1 client the fonts are HUGE.
All that led me to believe it must be something with her database. So I ran compact, Fixup, and UPdall -R on her database with each one making no difference.
I am at a total loss and am completely stumped by this problem. Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas that might fix it?
I have one user experiencing something similar - when she has a mail thread going with someone from outside with each subsequent response the font gets bigger and bolder - only the text from the internet. I too have run fixup and all the other maintenance tasks with no success. Glad I’m not alone.
Every person who was having this problem, in their person document, the setting “Format preferences for incoming mail” was set to “Prefers Notes Rich Text”. Setting this setting to “Keep in senders’ format” (like the rest of the people) fixed the problem.
