I was a certified PCLP for development for version 5. After a few years, I will be working on some consultant work that involves Lotus Notes application development. Does any one has suggestions for books, websites, or other references that can help me to have a jumpstart?
Also, I remebered I downloaded a redbook for Lotusscript and it included the detailed programming techniques. Can anyone know it is on the IBM sites? What is the primary programming lanugage in Lotus now? Java?
Thanks.
Subject: you are here
The Domino designer help files are a great resource, as is searching these forums. The kind of things you need will vary greatly depending on the project, but chances are someone has asked here about them before.
The primary programming language…really depends. Lotus formula and LotusScript are still around. Javascript is available. Java is available. If your client is on R8 or R8.5, you’ve got the new xpages designer environment to develop in.
PlanetLotus.com provides a list of Lotus-related blogs, and those can be a great place to find tips, code snippets, and even downloadable databases and templates.
Best of luck!
