8.5 M1 Sametime P/w issues

As I move between iterations of 8.0.1 to 8.5 I have the recurring problem that integrated Sametime within Notes client fails to logon automatically despite the Preferences, Sametime Communities,Remember PAssword and Automatically Logon boxes being ticked…I need to manually logon with P/w so I can use ST but whatever I do when trying to enable Calendar Service results in failure saying p/w is missing or incorrect followed by the awfulPROBLEM OCCURRED info box:

NotesPasswordJob has encountered a problem

DETAILS: Error

Seems like Notes has got stuck in a loop on passwords for ST. Reset User does not work

Is there a regedit workaround to reset ST and start again please ?

Am still struggling to get an answer to this question. Are there corrupted authentication pref files to be deleted, registry edits to make to clear out and start again with getting ST to auto login please ? Many thanks
