I’ve been using the 8.5 Domino Designer for a couple of weeks now, and I haven’t had any problems. Tried to open a template (that I haven’t previously touched in 8.5) today, though, and it’s hanging. The “Opening…” dialog just says “Create.” with a progress bar that isn’t going anywhere.
I use TeamStudio Ciao; I’m not sure if that could have anything to do with it.

I got around this by deleting the template, and restoring a copy from last night’s backup. That copy opened fine in the 8.5 Designer.
I think something went wrong when I first tried to open this template in Designer 8.5. I’m not sure what. Whatever it was, it prevented me from opening the template in Designer, but allowed me to open it in the regular client. And it wasn’t fixed by a fixup or compact. Weird, but OK, since I had a backup.
