Recently installed 8.5.2 (completely new installation): as soon as I drag a mail to a folder, the unread mark disappears (ie the title line comes back to plain red color [I choose red and not bold black for unread mail). This is not major but very annoying. Any idea?

When you drag a mail from inbox to a folder, the mail is gone from inbox. So how is it still visible for you to see the unread status? Did you leave out a step or two in your description?
I suspect the mail is being marked read not because you dragged it, but because you viewed it in the preview pane. There’s an preference for whether you want to mark previewed docs read.
I’m also puzzled why you’re filing mail you haven’t read.

Sorry, I will try to clarify :
(1) I receive a new e-mail: red in my inbox.
(2) I open then close this e-mail: now black in my inbox
(3) I drag this e-mail to any folder: I see immediately the folder changing from black to bold black
(4) I open the folder: the e-mail is (back to) red, as if I had never opened it

Has your mail file been customized? This sounds like the sort of thing that might happen if someone added some custom code for folder drag events that updated the document somehow. Check the last modified date/time of the document.

I have the exact same problem. I haven’t customized anything myself but I don’t know if the template I’m using is customized. It seems to be hit or miss too - sometimes it reverts to unread after drag and drop, other times it doesn’t.
