I have a clean install of 8.5.2 running in a Windows XP SP3 virtual machine. I’ve noted the following consistent behaviours:
View collapse / expand all icons don’t work, at all.
User-added smarticon (containing a little @formula) works at first when clicked, then stops working as above
I’ve tried removing and re-adding all toolbars, deleting cache.ndk, all that. Very very strange. The keyboard shortcuts for things like expand / collapse all (i.e. Shift- and Shift+) work just fine.
Is anyone else seeing this behaviour? I can’t believe it’s a universal bug, there must be something up with my set-up, but I’m danged if I can figure out what.
I’ve been having all sorts of weird behaviors with the toolbars also. Some of the buttons don’t work and I have to do things from the menu bar. It’s driving me nuts. We should not throw the baby out with the bath water, just because we want to be more like Outlook. For those of us use to working with the toolbar, to have them not work any more is annoying. They are broken in designer also.
Seems to be a weak link. The custom icons turn into gold X’s, and the “Save Toolbar” button stops working. Custom toolbar formulas disappear. I have been able to get things back in shape after a Windows reboot.
