8.5.1 FP1 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard

Has anyone successfully installed FP1 for Domino 8.5.1 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard? Yes, I know it’s not officially supported. However, the server installed just fine. Now I can’t get FP1 to install without getting the following error:

Lotus Notes/Domino or a Notes/Domino related process is still running. Please close it before pressing OK to continue.

There are no Notes or Domino processes running. And, yes, I launched it using “Run as administrator” even though I’m logged in as an administrator. Since R2 has that slider instead of the UAC on/off option, I’m not sure what else to try.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Sharon

Subject: Im my case wmiprvse.exe hold nnotes.dll

I had this problem with 8.5.3 FP3 on a Win 2008 R2 server. I found out the wmiprvse.exe was holding nnotes.dll open. Shuting down the service “Windows management instrumentation” during the install solved the problem
