8.5.1 Client on Windows 2008 TS

Not sure what’s going on here, but trying to install the full 8.5.1 client onto our terminal server running 64bit Windows 2008 and keep getting the following errors at the final stage on the install…File not found c:\Program files(x86)\IBM\Lotus\Notes\framework.provisioning_rcProvisioning process failed to launch or was stopped before the status could be determined

When I click OK I get another box giving me the location of the error file which states on the last line "unable to load \file location\jvm.properties file!.

This made me think that maybe it was a java issue so installed java but still the problem occurs…any ideas?

Hi,Yeah i tried to do this other week and apparently notes is unsupported on windows 2008 TS.

Which is unfortunate.

It will run on citrix apparently.

Unfortunately, your error is a pretty generic XPD Installer error.In my experience, it is most likely that the installer can’t access a networking drive (assuming you’re trying to use a network drive as user base dir.

Ensure that the mapped drive can be accessed by the user used for the installation.

Try to map the network share using net use \…

In general, although not supported LN 8.5.1 runs on native W2K8 TS/RDS servers
