8.5.1 archive policies on 6.5.x clients

We want to push out an archive policy on a 8.5.1 domino directory to 6.5.x clients. Are there any settings which will not work?

Subject: New-in-R7 features won’t work; everything else will…

If your policy pushes criteria sets that select based on ‘older than’ – these will generate errors when a pre-R7 client tries to run them. And if you set ‘maximum document retention’ or ‘customer generated expiration field’ (on the Advanced pane of Archive Settings) – these will have no effect on a pre-R7 client.

The rest of the settings should work fine. I did a quick test on this, but note that we no longer include R6.x in our interop test suites (we currently go back only as far as R7.0.4).

Subject: Just to clarify

I can use “not modified in more than x days”, “with expiration date older than x days”, “selected by user”. These should work with the pre 7 clients. I just cannot use “older than x days”.
