Hi all folks,nice to see the german note client 8.5.0 is available.
I try to install it again (I test the EN/US version in the past, see my previous post), but I can’t migrate the Notes 6.5.4 Databases and Preferences, too (it does not work with the EN/US version).
The “Notes Preferences” File from “Notes.app/Contents/Resources” points to
the wrong folder, “English.lproj” is not available but “de.lproj” is. On the other hand it does not work in general because
the installation folder is hard coded, all the time a user specific installation target is used, it does not fit.
Nice to see all menus are in german now, in the past some menu items are not translated or not translated accurate (and became not applicable).
Try it again, the notes client 8.5.1 is coming soon, …

A step by step migration via Notes 7.0.3 does not fit for me because Notes 7.0.3 does not work in a multi user environment on a Mac OS X System.
All the sample/templet databases are copied to the
“Library/Application Support” folder from the installation user only.
BTW, with Notes 6.5.4 a user based database migration was available. The 7.0.3 to 8.5.0 migration seems to work, in general.
