64bit Notes SQL Driver

We need 64bit Notes SQL driver.

Does anybody know if one is available and if not what IBM/Lotus recommend to be used instead? We tried 32bit version on 64bit Windows 7 workstation, but it cannot be seen from the list of the connections.

Thanks,

Dusan

You can use the 32-bit driver on a 64-bit platform if you are using a 32-bit application, but not for a 64-bit application. If there is a 64-bit notesSql, I don’t know about it.

Thank you George.

This is what I got back from one of our developers:

I started wondering if it was maybe related to the security in Windows 7, and searched for “windows 7 security odbc driver” and this was one of the first links

http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7hardware/thread/001c234b-dfd5-4378-a325-c4f1482fb6fd

Some of it didn’t seem to work or make sense, nor did I want to start playing with too much. The did talk about a version of the odbcad32.exe program. The one that runs from the Control Panel/Administrative Tools seems to be the one in the System32 folder. The one in the thread talked about the same file, but in the SysWOW64 folder. When using the one in the SysWOW64, you get all the drivers

I used this version and was able to add a system DSN to connect to one of our Notes databases. I then used this connection to generate a quick sample report in Crystal Reports and I was able to retrieve data.

Hope this works for everyone using Windows 7 64 bit.
