Anyone know if there is a limit on the number of addresses that a user can block via the new Client feature - Block mail from sender? Thanks, Michael

Not seen a limit but do know that the more addresses checked the bigger the performance hit.
Ideally this feature is designed for limited blocking (maybe your on a valid mailing list you want to block for a while, or a specific piece of spam gets through). Most unwanted addreses should being blocked at the server dns blacklist level.
But if I do find a limit I will let you know.

Apparently there is a limit. A user just received a message that her limit has been reached. I stopped counting her blocked addresses around number 700 and would guess the limit’s probably 1000…?

We faced this issue when a user exceeded 15000 blocked addresses.
The good news is that there is a patch for this on the IBM site and this will be incorporated as standard in Version 6.5.2 scheduled for release in May’04.

I have had one person hit the limit, after which their mail file became corrupt. The router task is also pegging out the CPU at times, and I suspect that mail rules were the reason.
