I have 2 users now (6.5.1 Client on 6.5.1 Server) receiving the “Cannot remove NotesDocument when instantiated by NotesUIDocument” message when attempting to send emails.
The first user was getting it in the Inbox, the second now gets it only in Drafts.
BOTH Have tested with the preview pane closed and still get the error.
The only way ‘around’ this is to not use the preview pane at all. OR close the preview pane and then close/reopen Notes. Never using the preview pane is not an option for the majority of my users.
Has anyone received an actual fix for this issue??

I came across this issue also. One of our users opened a saved draft and typed in a receipent address. She then hit send and received the error message. However she tried again this time, rather than opening the draft first, she pressed forward and then typed in a receipent address. This allowed her to send the draft without the error message. I hope this helps.

We had this issue when a user was attempting to send an email that was previously a draft. When prompted as to whether or not they wanted to save the email on send, they said “no” and got this error. Clicking “yes” (to save) eliminated the error.
Evidently, if you reply “no” (to save) it attempts to delete the underlying document while the uidocument is still open, and of course that is not allowed.
