In testing the 6.01 fix for archiving, I am finding that it is working and not giving us the error of “database format is invalid”, but it also does not appear to be creating a folder and putting the document in that folder if the folder does not exist in the Archive db. It puts it in the All Documents view. I have tried it with the upgraded R5->R6 existing archive file and I have tried it with the existing R5 archive file. Both appear to work the same. A co-worker also tried it with his archive and was able to duplicate the problem. Did we loose this functionality?
Subject: 6.01 Archiving goes to All Documents view - SPR’d
This is what Lotus has found and SPR’d…
"I was able to reproduce the issue using a test mail file and archive file. What I found is if after the client is upgraded and the mail file resides on a 6.x server, if the user archives a selected document before they open the archive file in the 6.x client the issue will not occur. The folders that do not exist in the archive will be created when archiving. But if the archive mail file is opened in the 6.x client before archiving from the mail file is done, then the existing folders from the mail file will not be created. Any new folders in the mail file will be created in the archive file though.
I created SPR JLAR5KMURM for this issue. "

I looked for this SPR and could not find it. Is this still a viable bug/problem?

It is still a huge bug in R651.
Subject: Still huge in 6.5.2
I am opening another SPR with Lotus, as the developer a coworker met with at Lotusphere indicated they did not have a record of anyone with a reproducible problem like this.
