6.0.1 CF2 to 6.0.2 CF1 Incremental Installer?

Ok, I have looked thru the entire download MRU site, I cannot find the patch from 6.0.1 CF2 to 6.0.2 CF1. There are patches for 6.0.1 but none for 6.0.1 CF2. The site specifically states that 6.0.2 is for Japan only, and that all others use 6.0.2 CF1.

Help???

Subject: Lame

Ok, I figured this out, but what a lame solution. I had to install the 6.0.1 CF2. Then I revert back to 6.0.1, then I can use the 6.0.1 to 6.0.2 CF1 patch to get my server to 6.0.2 CF1. Kind of cheesy, wouldn’t you say!

Glad I’m not the only one - that was the only (easy) answer I could find…

I complained on the support feedback page today.

Betty Boop is right.

You need to go back to 6.0.1 and start the incremental installer to 6.0.2 CF1. Make sure that you stop the server before you run the installer.

I must say that I am disappointed about IBM’s support and open information on this problem. There are many Linux users suffering from this problem, but I did not see any offical or unofficial comment on it.

Lotus, please take Linux seriously. Thanks,

Subject: Yup…

I must admit that whilst I like getting more code fixes more frequently, it does rather screw up the incremental installers.

I usually try and get a full copy off the passport site, or the partner site, for each version. It does remove some pain.

Okay - the full copies are a little larger (but not much!) than the incrementals…

(And I do sympathise for the poor guy in the builds team who has to construct literally hundreds of permutations of build every time a CF pack comes out… Ouch…)

Time for a “update my Notes client to the latest version over the web” style package ? (from whatever version)
