We have noticed that we get this error message in bounced emails. The exact error message is
501 5.7.1 This system is not configured to relay mail from Fred@xyz.com to Jane@abc.com for xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Now, abc and xyz are different companies, both using Domino for their mail servers. This error only occurs when some one from abc.com sends a meeting request to someone and xyz.com and they accept/reject the invite. The response results in this bounced email. However, if they send emails to each other, they get through fine.
I’ve done some google searching on the issue and most responses seem to point to incorrect set up of the mail client. However, we are using DWA as our mail client and the fact that emails get through, suggest that is not the problem. Only calendar accept/reject generates this error!!
Has someone got any ideas on how to resolve this. I believe it is a misconfiguration in the Domino on the XYZ side as that is the server generating the error.
