Since upgrading to Notes 8.5 any attempt to save changes to the Mail and Calendar settings through More > Preferences results in the “Notes Error: Field is too large…” message
Any suggestions?

We found that within the users mail file from the client there were to many entries within Tools\Preferences\Mail\Message Marking\Sender Names. Clean this up a bit and the problem goes away.

I’ve seen that and been unable to identify the exact file that I need to look at - apart from the issue occurring on More > Preferences when in Inbox or Calendar

Run Fixup on the mail file in question, then run Updall -R and lastly run Compact on the mail file. I seen this error only once on an 8.5 server.
