(2nd post) 6.5 - Notes group and SMTP inbound controls not working after upgrade

I use a Notes group in SMTP inbound controls to reject mail from addresses and domains.

This was working properly in 6.0.1cf2, after upgrading to 6.5 it simply ignores it.

My group does not have ‘@’ or ‘.’ in its name and it has many addresses/domains.

Can anyone else provide info about this? Testing results, etc. to validate if it can be used in 6.5, please…

Regards.

Subject: We use a group for rejecting specific email addresses, and it works ok

At first it didn’t work, but we quickly discovered that a second configuration document was created during the upgrade (or soon after anyway - we never discovered exactly why and when it happened). That document didn’t have the group name in it. After we deleted that duplicate document and rebooted the Domino server, all was fine.

Thanks for your reply.

The situation you mentioned was not my case, but lead me to get rid of the configuration of the smtp server.

Recreated the config, restarted server and…voilá. It is working again!

The cause of the problem: HAVE NO IDEA!

False alarm…

Right after I had created the config doc, with minimal changes, the group containing blocking addresses and domains were working fine.

When I set up exact same configs I had before, it stop working!

I am still trying to figure out what change(s) is/are causing this feature to stop working…

IRIS, please…
