2048-bit Self-Signed Certificates?

Anyone know if there is a way to set the self-signed certificate form in certsrv.nsf to use a key greater than 512 bit? It is not a field on the form so I am thinking that is compiled code that a customer cannot change.

Thanks!

Subject: avoid self signed certs

self signed certs should be considered for testing purposes only
strongly recommend a certifcate with a domino CA or a 3rd party CA instead as it will include the cert chain so the client can generate the needed certificate trust chain

as it stands today you’re unable to use that database to create a selfsigned certificate of 2048 strength

Subject: Try Domino as a CA

Not with self signed certificates. you can however use domino as a CA

Subject: You can

Hi,

you can do this with selfsigned Certs, but you have to edit certsrv.nsf with Notes Designer!

But i recommend using a CA.
