Have a test server - 2003 Server Standard Edition. It has Domino 7.02 installed with 2 partitions.
The 2 servers are names as test1/dom and test2/dom
The system has 2 ethernet cards installed.
The dns is correctly configured to point to each of the servers by
IP address… this checks out with Ping … it is resolving to the correct IP address on the server. It is also correct in nslookup.
Notes is setup for the correct port in the Ports settings…
it has an entry for my internal network, behind firewall, and for the external network (internet)…
Problem is, that I can see one server only no matter which IP address internally or URL externally is used to access the server.
I am suspecting that this might be a Windows issue, but would like any feedback on domino in this type of configuration.
Thanks ahead of time…

Subject: 2003 Server / Partioned Server problem
This might be an obvious question… just in case. Do you have TCP/IPportname_TCPIPAddress= configured in each servers notes.ini? This tells the server to listen on that IP address. If not, you will get your result. You should have (examples) TCP/IPportname_TCPIPAddress=0,192.94.222.2:1352 for serverA (NIC#1) and TCP/IPportname_TCPIPAddress=0,192.94.222.3:1352 for serverB (NIC#2). Hope this helps…
Subject: RE: 2003 Server / Partioned Server problem
yes, do have. it appears that whatever server loads first grabs the system… and the other is no long reachable via Administrator, or from web.
I am starting to think this might be a firewall problem since the servers are on the same “inside” network as my admin workstation.
I really don’t need two partitions, was just testing some things… but it would be good to be able to use it for trials.
