Hello,
I have a user who has a portable computer and a Home PC
What we would like is to have the same list of contact between the PAB
on the portable computer and the PC.
What we tested was:
1°/ on the laptop launch the action synchronize the address book
2°/ on the Home PC the same action.
The first time that worked well.
But if you try to do it a second time, we had doubles for each contact.
Any help will be appreciated to find a solution to synchronize contact between 2 PC’s

I have a similar user. I replicated his PAB up to the server - seperate directory than the data root - and have his two computers on a replication schedule with the server. This has been working well for him. Just don’t tell any of my other users.

Tony, when you say “don’t tell any of my other users”, this will be exactly my problem.
I was thinking that it could be possible to have one other solution then put PAB’s on the server and to have to maintain it in case of problems …

You can hide the DBs from the Catalog task as well as the File/Open Database window. I think that there is a couple of check boxes that can do this for you.

Would it help to replicate the PNAB to the server and setup background replication between the two systems? That way, any contacts entered on either machine will replicate to the other one on the next replication.
