2 notes server. how to use only 1 notes server to send/receive email for user?

hello :

i have notes server 1 in office A and notes server 2 in office B . currently both servers are connected to internet with their own leased line in both offices.

my question is … is it possible to change the server 1 in office A to only connect internally and then use all the notes server 2 in office B to send/receive email for user in office A.

outgoing:

user in office A → server 1 → server 2 → internet

incoming:

internet → server 2 → server 1 → user in office A.

if i want to do that . what kind of thing in notes do i need to change in both servers in Office A and Office B ?

Other than the config in notes server. any thing i need to change in DNS as well ?

any advice are much appreciated.

I assume that Server 2 people are to recieve and send mail as nomal.You need to setup Server 2 to relay mesages from Server 1 (and ONLY Server 1 [to prevent relaying]). I have set the relaying to 1 message pending on Server 1’s configuration document.

Server 1’s ‘Relay host for messages leaving the local internet domain’ should be Server 2

You need to set the PAB entries for users on Server 2 to have the mail file on Server 1.

You should set your DNS entries to only point to Server 2
