Hi Pierre,

The scenario we fixed in 8.5.1 is when a user replies to an e-mail and their internet address matches the one found in their location and person document we do not add the address to the reply. If the address does not match the one in the person document and location document we do not remove it. The primary reasons is we cannot be absolutely sure in all contexts that the internet address belongs to the sender. There is no reliable way to figure out the owner of the ID replying is indeed the owner the of one of the intended recipients on the original e-mail.

So, please check your internet address as it appears in the Domino Directory person document and your location document in your Personal Address Book. If they match the one in the reply to all and you still see duplicates please attache a database with a sample document exhibiting the bad behavior.

Subject: Have this problem in 8.5.1

Any joy with this, I did not have this problem in 8.5 but I now have it in 8.5.1 to much annoyance from my users. We are currently on Domino 8.5.1 client 8.5 mail template R8.5 ods 51. What needs changing to fix this? Seems crazy as it worked just fine in 8.5!

I (and all my users) am now getting this problem after upgrading to 8.5.1.Servers are upgraded to 8.5.1. A mixture of 8.5 and 8.5.1 clients and the problem manifests itself on both.

After a bit of experimenting I was able to reduce the problem by changing the email address in the location document to include the phrase part as well as the address i.e “Name”

This has drastically reduced the number of times users get their own address in a reply to all but it still happens from time to time.

I appreciate that it isn’t always easy to strip out ones own address but I never once came across this problem prior to 8.5.1
