2 Internet Site Docs, 1 server

I’m having trouble with multiple site docs for one of my servers.

One of the 2 site docs is set to YES for ‘Use this web site to handle requests which cannot be mapped to any other we sites’

Org: BMI

Servers: Serv1/BMI

Home URL: /WebMailRedirect.nsf

All other parms except SSL key are default.

This server has multiple hostnames that point to it’s address: mail, serv1, and notes1.

If I point the browser at it with any name or the IP address it works fine, UNTIL. . . . .

Then I add the second Internet Site doc with hostname serv1.brotherhoodmutual.com pointed at names.nsf for the home url. I reload the http config and then use of serv1.brotherhoodmutual.com in my browser gives a ‘page cannot be displayed’, but the other hostnames still work for getting to WebMailRedirect.nsf (just as I would expect).

If I delete the second site doc and create a new one for notes1.brotherhoodmutual.com and point it at another database; then use of that hostname via the browser is broke, but all other hostnames (and the IP) still work to get to webmailredirect.nsf.

I have another Domino 6.0 server with 2 site docs and it works just fine. One site doc is the ‘default’ which handles all hostnames accept the one defined in my second site doc which is directed to another location.

Any ideas?? This just doesn’t make sense. My R5 config worked just fine and I may just put it back.

Subject: Fixed

I just needed to restart the server after Enabling “Load Internet Configurations from Server\Internet Sites docs” on the Server document.

The redbook I’m using ‘Upgrading to Lotus Notes and Domino 6’ explicitly says on page 391 that only ‘tell http refresh’ is needed. And since it was a production server I hadn’t restarted it.

Two hours dinkin around and a 30 minute call to Lotus for that little misprint.

I just went through the same exercise you did with the same results. The HELP also contains the same error as the redbook. Thanks for posting this.
