2 hour time difference on Ultralite

That’s a real big bug and it hasn’t to do anything with my own timezones!

Each entry in the calendar and each email is displayed 2 hours earlier at the iPod with Ultralite. So a 8pm calendar entry shows up as 6pm. An email received at 11:30 am shows up as 9:30 am.

So I checked my local and server mailfile … both show the correct time. I went into WebAccess - times are correct. So I thought it must be a problem on my iPod, but if I open WebAccess in Ultralite Mode on my PC I get the exact same error (2 hour difference).

So for obvious reasons there is a bug in Ultralite … unfortunately that decreases the usability of the product dramatically.

Subject: Small addition

Maybe it’s just an error in the timezone conversion - for the record I am using CET timezone!

Subject: What is the server timezone set to?

With ultralite we respect the server’s timezone settings unless you’ve configured a specific timezone preference in the iNotes Preferences page.

O.K., there is indeed a problem with the server time because it is 2 hours off. I have to see if this can be corrected.

But I don’t understnad the following: iNotes preferences are set to CET. They show up correctly in iNotes Full and iNotes Lite … but not in Ultralite.

Is Ultralite not catching the iNotes preferences or can they be set separately for Ultralite?

Thanks

Harald

Subject: Solved

As you stated setting the server timezone to the timezone needed from Ultralite solved the problem. (In my case server was running on UTC instead CET)

You may still look into the issue why Ultralite doesn’t use the preferences from iNotes but my individual problem is solved that way.

Thanks for your help!
